Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy Explores Cooperation with ”One Road” Group


Ambassador Yasser El-Bakhashwan, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy, announced a meeting with Ms. CHENLING ZAHANG, Executive Director of the "One Road" Group, in Burj Khalifa, Dubai. He was accompanied by a delegation from the Council.
El-Bakhashwan stated that the meeting focused on signing strategic cooperation agreements aimed at strengthening economic relations between both parties in the coming period and opening new horizons for investment in the region. The meeting also addressed several key areas reflecting the group's interest in the Middle East and African markets.
Most notably, the two sides agreed to start implementing a massive oil and gas production project that will connect production sources in the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Additionally, they discussed a project to introduce major Chinese cars into Saudi Arabia and support and develop the country’s logistical transport system. The group also presented the Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy with a list of its strategic goods, which include half a million tons of oil and sugar products per month. The group granted the Council the right to choose its commercial agents in North, Central, and West Africa, enhancing the Council's role in the continent's food security.
The delegation of the Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy extended its greetings and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of the United Arab Emirates, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, for their role in promoting regional and international economic cooperation. The delegation also emphasized Egypt's importance as a strategic partner in all future projects and plans.
