Ambassador Yasser El-Bakhshawan, the First Deputy Chairman of the Arab-African Economic Council, stated that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's speech at the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit was a comprehensive and well-articulated presidential statement that consolidates Egypt's leading role in crisis management and future-making. He explained that President El-Sisi's address successfully combined profound human sensitivity with superb strategic ingenuity.

El-Bakhshawan added that President El-Sisi elevated the crisis from the level of a regional conflict to that of a higher humanitarian and historical responsibility. He clarified that President El-Sisi's quote, "The Gaza agreement will close a painful chapter in human history," places the agreement in the context of ending a dark era, not merely signing a ceasefire. He noted that President El-Sisi imposes a moral responsibility on all parties to ensure the catastrophe is not repeated.

He elaborated that President El-Sisi's description of the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit as a crucial historical moment confirms that Egypt understands this moment is a point of no return, necessitating decisive decisions that will completely change the region's trajectory. He pointed out that Egypt is not just a mediator; it is an anchor for just peace that does not compromise on fundamental principles.

El-Bakhshawan indicated that peace will remain Egypt's strategic option, which serves as a message of reassurance to the world that Egypt is the regional safety valve and will not deviate from this path no matter the challenges. He explained that President El-Sisi's emphasis on the Palestinian people's right to self-determination proclaims that any peace must be built on international legitimacy and justice, solidifying the principle that peace based on injustice is nothing more than a temporary, perilous truce.

He highlighted that President El-Sisi utilized every available diplomatic tool, from direct discourse to high-level decoration, to ensure the success and sustainability of the agreement. He referred to President El-Sisi's saying that peace is not made by governments alone but built by people, as an acknowledgement of the necessity of building a popular foundation for peace. This was translated into his direct call to the Israeli people, saying, "Extend your hands for a just peace," which represents the pinnacle of diplomatic courage that addresses the societal conscience.

He affirmed that President El-Sisi’s invitation to his American counterpart Donald Trump and his honoring with the Nile Collar represent a strategic investment. This honor, bestowed upon those who serve humanity, solidifies the American role as a catalyst for peace, elevates the importance of joint efforts, and sends a clear message that Egypt values and rewards those who support stability, with the aim of achieving a Middle East where all peoples enjoy peace.

El-Bakhshawan concluded that President El-Sisi's speech at the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit is a global model of leadership that balances principle and action. Egypt succeeded in turning an existential challenge into a historical opportunity to reshape the future of the Middle East, confirming its status as the regional power capable of bringing conflicting parties together and presenting a holistic vision for peace that does not compromise on justice. He stressed that this is truly a moment of pride for Egyptian diplomacy.
