The President of Somaliland received a delegation from the Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy at the Presidential Palace


His Excellency the President of the Republic of Somaliland received at the Presidential Palace in Hargeisa a delegation from the Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy led by Dr. Hani Abu Zayd, the President of the Council, and including the First Deputy President of the Council, Ambassador Yasser Al-Bakshwan, Major General Hassan Attia, the Deputy President of the Council for Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Atas, the Deputy President of the Council for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mr. Nabil Al-Gharib, the Chairman of the Supreme Advisory Board of the Council, Dr. Amr Mohamed Gaber Ghiyadan, the Executive Vice President of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Head of the Gold Department of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ghazwan Al-Nunou, a senior investor in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mahdi Mohamed, an investor in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Wagdy Sayed, the Secretary General.
The meeting resulted in discussing ways of cooperation between His Excellency and the Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy, and discussing the future vision of the Republic in the mining, tourism, and food security sectors, including the development of the livestock sector and the improvement of the animal production sector, as well as working on utilizing the 850-kilometer-long coastlines that have not yet been fully exploited.
His Excellency the President directed the Council of Ministers to quickly implement the joint vision discussed by both parties and remove all obstacles in the way of investment entities. Both parties discussed the priorities of the state in terms of investments needed to support infrastructure and establish national projects that enhance the national performance of Somaliland's economy, with a focus on energy and agriculture, which are logistical services for the development of livestock and animal and poultry production in the country, as well as the fact that the development of the agricultural sector enhances Somaliland's position in the production of marine wealth that has not yet been fully exploited along a coastline of 850 kilometers, which is being illegally seized by others for non-exploitation.
Dr. Hani Abu Zayd, the President of the Council, explained that the Council is an international organization working in the field of international investment and trade without being bound by a specific specialization, and that it has international relations with economic institutions that support the vision of the Government of Somaliland, emphasizing that as the President of an international organization, he speaks on behalf of the Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy, which is registered as an advisory council in the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
He affirmed that he is fully prepared to establish major projects through a communication platform with specialized global companies in various fields.
